Humanising Healthcare – Margaret Hannah & Clare Cable

Dr Margaret Hannah, Director of Health Programmes at the International Futures Forum discussed her book Humanising Healthcare with Professor Clare Cable.

Humanising Healthcare offers us ‘a practical strategy for transforming the UK and other healthcare systems… offering an affordable, sustainable and compassionate alternative to the present mess.’

Dr Margaret Hannah has over 30 years of experience in the NHS, specialising in Public Health. She has a passion for innovation and development for population health and wellbeing. Working now with International Futures Forum, Margaret supports others to undertake transformative innovations in health and wellbeing. She co-ordinates activity around IFF Kitbag, a resource which aims to grow a culture of kindness for children, families and people working in communities and organisations. Recently Margaret has been back working part-time with NHS Fife as part of the public health response to COVID19.

Professor Clare Cable is Chief Executive and Nurse Director of the Queen’s Nursing Institute Scotland and Honorary Professor of Nursing at Queen’s Margaret University, Edinburgh.
