Christie Watson, a children’s nurse by background, is the Professor of Medical and Health Humanities, University of East Anglia. Christie is an award winning bestselling writer of both fiction and non-fiction. The stage adaptation of her first nursing memoir, The Language of Kindness began a UK tour in 2021.

Christie has published two novels, including the Costa First Novel Award winning Tiny Sunbirds Far Away. Her first non-fiction book, The Language of Kindness: A Nurse’s Story was a Number One Sunday Times Bestseller and her second, The Courage to Care is out now.

Clare Cable is the Chief Executive and Nurse Director, Queen’s Nursing Institute Scotland (QNIS) and also a children’s nurse by background. Clare has a wealth of experience as a nursing leader in health care improvement and policy. Her vision is to unleash the creativity of nurses to be catalysts for positive change in the health and wellbeing of individuals, families and communities.
